Windscreen insurance claims in South Wales
If your car insurance includes glass cover, you may be able to have your windscreen repaired or replaced and only pay the glass excess – how much depends on your own policy. We can bill some insurers directly – call us with your policy details and we’ll check.
Most comprehensive car insurance policies include windscreen or glass cover, and some third-party policies offer it as an add-on. If you’re covered, you may only pay your glass excess – how much depends on your own policy.
How a claim works with us
- Check your policy. Look for “windscreen” or “glass” cover and check your documents for the excess.
- Contact us. Give us your insurer’s name, your policy number, the vehicle registration and a photo of the damage.
- We check your insurer. We’ll confirm whether we can bill your insurer directly before we book the job.
- We carry out the work. We repair or replace the glass at your home or workplace.
- You pay the excess. Where we bill your insurer directly, you normally only pay the glass excess – how much depends on your own policy, so check your documents or ask your insurer.
Can you bill my insurer?
We can bill some insurers directly, but not all. Call us on 07769 707501 with your policy details and we’ll check whether we can bill yours before any work starts. If we can’t, we’ll tell you before anything is booked.
Will a windscreen claim affect my no-claims bonus?
With many policies, a glass-only claim doesn’t affect your no-claims discount, but this is set by your insurer, not by us. Check your policy wording or ask your insurer before you claim.
What is a glass excess?
It’s the amount you pay towards a glass claim. Your excess depends on your own policy, so check your documents or ask your insurer.
Not covered for glass?
You can still use us, and we’ll give you a clear price before any work starts. We take all major payment methods, including Payment Assist. A chip repair is far cheaper than a new screen, so if the damage is small, act quickly. See chip repair.
Broken window after a break-in?
Your insurer may ask for a crime reference number. We can usually replace the glass while you sort out the claim. See smashed car window after a break-in and side and rear glass replacement.
Insurance questions
What will I pay if I claim on my insurance?
Where we bill your insurer directly, you normally only pay the glass excess. How much that is depends on your own policy, so check your documents or ask your insurer.
What is glass cover?
Glass cover, sometimes called windscreen cover, is the part of a car insurance policy that pays towards repairing or replacing vehicle glass such as your windscreen. Most comprehensive policies include it, and some third-party policies offer it as an add-on. Check your policy documents to see what yours covers.

Yes. We provide VAT invoices, and fleet customers can be set up on account.
