Both valleys, top to bottom
We cover the Rhondda Fawr from Porth and Trehafod up through Tonypandy, Ystrad and Treorchy to Treherbert, the Rhondda Fach through Tylorstown and Ferndale to Maerdy, and the Cynon Valley from Abercynon and Mountain Ash up to Aberdare and Hirwaun. Valley roads and the A470
Most journeys out of the valleys funnel down the A4058, the A4059 or the A4233 towards Pontypridd and the A470. Stones thrown up on these roads, and on the A465 at the top of the Cynon Valley, are a common cause of chips. Chips up to the size of a £1 coin can usually be repaired; anything larger needs a windscreen replacement.
Terraces and steep streets
Many valley streets are steep, terraced and parked on both sides. A chip repair can be done almost anywhere. For a replacement we need the car on reasonably level ground with room to open both front doors, so tell us what the street is like when you book and we’ll find a suitable spot.
