A470 and A40 miles

Most driving here means long runs on the A470 over the Beacons past Pen y Fan, or the A40 towards Abergavenny and Llandovery. Chips up to the size of a £1 coin can usually be repaired, typically in around 20 minutes, so it pays to get one sorted before cold mornings and a hot demister turn it into a crack that needs a new windscreen.

Farms, yards and country lanes

A chip repair can be done almost anywhere. For a windscreen replacement we need the car or van on reasonably level ground with room to open both front doors, so a farmyard, a driveway or a work car park is ideal. Resin and adhesive need a dry surface, so on a wet day in the Beacons a barn or carport helps. If there’s no cover, we’ll talk to you about the best time. We also replace van windscreens at your yard or site.
